In an earlier post, we featured nail polish the size of Texas! In this post, we might not be going bold, but we’re going super cute and (mildly geeky). These “newsprint nails”, as I like to call them, are simple, sweet and pretty easy to do. I’ve personally tried this (those are my nails up there!) so I can confidently tell you that these instructions work if you would like to try it for yourself. If you do, please email me a picture of your finished product through the “submit entry” page so I can feature them with everyone else’s pictures!

What you will need:
scissors
rubbing alcohol
newspaper
small bowl
light nail polish
clear coat nail polish

Step 1: Paint your nails with a lightly colored nail polish. Light pink or any type of pale shade will work the best.

Step 2: Cut the newspaper into 10 rectangles (big enough to cover your entire nail).

Step 3: Soak your fingers in the rubbing alcohol for 30 seconds. My IPhone’s stopwatch helped me with this task.

Step 4: Hold the newspaper on your nail for another 30 seconds.

Step 5: Very carefully, peel the newspaper off of your of your nail. At this point, you should see the print on your nail.

Step 6: Apply a clear coat to your nail to seal in the print.
