As much as I would like to write “before and AFTER,” the nursery is technically not finished.  All of those empty frames need KatieAnn’s newborn photos in them!  I’ll be posting the final “before and afters” when her newborn pictures are printed and hung in their own pretty frames.  I was just  too excited not to post progress pictures after I (finally) received the backordered crib sheets from Restoration Hardware today.  I may also add a few more goodies to the nursery as I come across them to add a little more color!  BUT, I’d say for now, we’re doing alright considering what it looked like before!

Before…

Progress…

The carpet was completely ripped out to reveal beautiful hardwood floors underneath.  I wanted to give the room a little visual texture, so I asked Jeff to install paneling on the back wall.  To keep it within our budget, he actually cut MDF board to fit the space since it was almost half the cost of regular paneling. We also thought it was important to install a dimmer switch to dim the chandelier since I wasn’t crazy about putting a lamp in the nursery.

There you have it! KatieAnn’s sweet little nursery in the making!

Beautiful. I love how serene and feminine it is.
I think the dimmer switch is a smart move…we have it at our current home in the girls’ room and it is very handy!
Also, I’m new to your blog via Instagram and have enjoyed following some of your pregnancy. Wishing you luck in this new and exciting venture into mommy-hood. :)
