1. Where did you thrift your outfit and aprox. how much was the cost?

My outfit is from shop at 851…which is a vintage clothing etsy shop my friends own. They were having a sale and everything was about 12 dollars: shoes, belt, dress, and even the sunglasses. :)

2. What was the inspiration behind your outfit?

I love to mix prints and random colors, so that’s always an integral part of my outfit combinations. I did see the dress on the hanger and immediately knew it would fit me, so I grabbed the yellow belt because it was wide and would complement my waist and the red shoes were just so cute!

3. What did you enjoy most about thrifting?

Well, I LOVE to shop!!! Thrifting is more than just a hobby. It literally makes me sooo happy and I am addicted. I get a rush out of finding treasures and spending a little bit of money and getting tons of stuff! I love vintage/antiques and I just can’t help myself when I see things that are beautiful and have a history. Plus, I’m pretty cheap, so I simply LOVE a good deal! Who doesn’t?!

4. What advice would you give first-time thrifters?

1. Pay attention to color of the days and daily discounts! I don’t buy anything that’s not the color of the day unless I really, really love it!
2. Thrift often, somedays you get really lucky, others you may not find anything and that’s okay.
3. Try to have a list in your mind of things you are looking for, so you don’t get overwhelmed and end up with just random crap. For example: lately, I mainly look for house stuff, furniture, and dresses. Thats what I look for first, then wherever the wind takes me!
4. It should always be fun and adventurous!!!! :)

5. Why do you deserve the Grand Belt of Honor?

Because I would keep it alive! I love mix and matching everything that I have and I always try to use same pieces to make different outfits with my belts being a main part of this! You could never have enough belts….they’re so important!

6. Do you have a website that you would like to share with everyone?

Yes, mustardandplum.blogspot.com
My little part of the web where I write about mylife, fashion, art, music, love and anything else that inspires me! Please stop by and say hello! :)

SO cute! If I would have saw this dress, I would have had NO clue what to pair with it – you did a great job of mixing things up with the heels and belt! Love it!
